Just heartbreaking. Support candidates who support investment in Alzheimer's research.
On a recent trip to New York City, one of my children reminded me of a visit our family took there for Christmas three years ago. When he recounted the holiday, how much fun we had, how joyous a chapter it was in the story of our family, I was taken by surprise. I have no memory of it.

She's mentioned Lincoln (20 miles out) and Gloucester (35 miles out) I am sympathetic to kids of divorce who got bounced around a lot but ... claiming she gained Boston toughness from outside 128? This is valor is wicked stolen
New England in Her DNA
Heinrich was born just outside Boston, and lived in Lincoln and Gloucester, before her parents -both from Lexington- moved to New Hampshire and Maine. It’s safe to say New England runs through her veins. “We were always in Massachusetts,” she says.

Boston Globe has a big puff piece on a Fox News host based entirely around her bragging about being BOSTON FACKIN TOUGH KEHD She's never lived in Boston & graduated high school in Maine
Fox News reporter says Boston toughness aids her fight over White House press freedomsAsk Heinrich what she thinks of the personal jabs, or of Trump’s comments toward female journalists more broadly, and she’ll tell you that she has a thick skin courtesy of her Massachusetts upbringing.

“I grew up in Boston,” she said. “I really don’t care about any of that.”

“When people are mean to you on the street, it’s like saying good morning [here],” said Heinrich, who spent her childhood in Boston’s suburbs and the North Shore, before splitting time between divorced parents living in New Hampshire and Maine. ”I genuinely don’t care. It’s just not part of my DNA. ... If you’re upsetting everyone, you’re doing something right."

My kids insist on buying berries, then ignore them until they spot one dot of white mold on one berry & refuse to eat any of them So I’ve started baking lots of mixed berry whatever Here are scones, *so* much better than big batch bakery scones that get overmixed & the butter gets buried
Lightly browned Mixed berry scones on parchment paper on baking sheet

I used to think of university staff jobs as really desirable Today, here's one job from one university that demands you commute in person to the middle of nowhere 5 days a week because the workers must be punished, and another one that's nonsensical & filled with typos

The Boston Globe editorial page is constantly telling us Republicans (specifically Charlie Kirk) are great & progressives are stupid But sometimes they ALSO do fourth-wall-breaking columns patting themselves on the back for thinking Republicans are great & Brett Kavanaugh is a genius

Trump was right. There, I said it.
Paid family leave, children's savings accounts, cheaper drugs — and, yes, even Supreme Court justices. A reluctant accounting of what Trump got right.232

And then there's Trump's superbly qualified nominations to the Supreme Court. Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Coney Barrett aren't exactly lionized in liberal New England, but there's not a legal dolt among them.

Insane that Massachusetts allows liquor licenses to be treated as speculative assets, and anyone wanting to open a restaurant has to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase one (Local property owner just posted this to FB)
