Combine that with a consumerist society that tells us we're only worth what we produce, and it's no wonder why..

I've been dealing with recurrent clinical depression for ~6 years now, so I empathize with you when it comes to feelings of worthlessness. I'm a creative person at heart, but I struggle to actually bring any of my ideas to fruition due to ADHD, physical disabilities, and of course depression too.
