Most of the time, not only are they immune from criminal liability on many places, but also shielded from civil liability. Not to mention that no lawyer wants to take a case where their client is easily undermined due to fhe stigmatization of mental health issues and symptoms.

If they overturn EMTALA (the law requiring hospitals to stabilize everyone) that'll backfire too, because then they have to verify coverage prior to treatment, and even people with insurance will have care delayed or denied. They're hurting themselves and aren't smart enough to realize it.
