Black text overlays an image of an event background from Fire Emblem Heroes. The background depicts a valley of lush wildflowers at sunset. The sky is painted warm orange. In the distance there is a mountain range. Text reads:

Kisses Near and Far

Out of the corner of his left eye, Gunter sees something shift and sweep into his peripheral field of vision. Unsurprisingly, it is none other than a lock of hair slipping free from his slick back—the same culprit as usual, for it never liked to stay with all the others. Before he has the chance to brush the errant wave into place once more, he feels his wife’s fingertips caress his temple, standing upon tiptoes as she tries to coax the strands back to where they belong. With an endearing smile on her face, she speaks to him, trailing her fingers along the shell of his ear.

An illustration of Oboro and Beruka from Fire emblem fates. It's night and Beruka is riding her wyvern, passing by Oboro while reaching out a hand towards her, almost stroking her.

my piece for @fefateszine.bsky.social! i think often about arete and how she might have felt about anankos, before the fall of valla.

An illustration featuring Arete from Fire Emblem Fates. She is bracing herself against a banister with a pained and frustrated expression on her face. Her pendant is glowing brightly, causing her to cast extended shadows on the mural of Anankos behind her.
