Today's advent calendar tea is chocolate covered strawberry rooibos red tea! It has a delicious strawberry scent and the first bit of each sip tastes a little like cocoa, and then the berry flavor hits more at the end. This is definitely one of my favorites so far.

Today's tea, which i will probably try tomorrow (being as that I am about to head to bed), is this jolly jasmine orange green tea. I'm hoping i will be pleasantly surprised like I was with the pear!

And Day 10 was the eggnog black tea, which had a hint of eggnog flavor with a basic black tea. I might try the 2nd bag with some cream to see if that boosts the eggnog taste any.

Day 9 tea was the Elf's Maple Herbal Tea, which was a very mild, relaxing tea - although I would've preferred a stronger maple flavor myself

Day 8 was the vanilla Chai black tea, which I very much enjoyed. With a bit of cream and sugar, the flavor reminded me less of the spicy chai I am used to and more of the chai I got from my favorite Indian restaurant.

Day 7 was the holiday pear green tea, which i was admittedly not enthused about - i am not usually a green tea fan. However, i liked this one! Smelled very strongly of pear, but the taste was much more subtle, and the tea didn't have the same flavors I typically associate with green tea

My skyline needs a flower cleanse, so here are a couple of native plants I got from the zoo sale last month. Prairie coneflowers and black-eyed Susans! They're doing fantastic.

Been learning embroidery over the past month and I'm really enjoying it. Once your get the hang of the stitches, it's really meditative!

And as someone else with a laugh best described as a cackle, this part meant a lot to me.

Context is everything for this run, and that’s especially true of Harris’ laugh. For years, Republicans and supportive media outlets caricatured it as forced. Often, political opponents referred to it as a “cackle.” Now her campaign is promoting it as emblematic of the joyous spirit she is trying to project.

“The quirks and her humor and the way that she presents,” said Robert Garcia, the freshman California congressman who got close to his then-junior senator when he was still the mayor of Long Beach, “people today are finding endearing and hopeful.”
