✏️ My pull request for a refund feature grew past 3,000 lines. At that size, a code review can't do its job: reviewers miss things or rubber-stamp it. So I stopped adding to it and started extracting the unrelated fixes and tests into their own PRs. mikezornek.com/posts/2026/9...

I enjoyed your talk and work towards this. PubSub is by far one of the softer corners of Phoenix development, and I'm not surprised you caught so many inconsistencies in your own project. Good luck getting this out.

👨‍💻 Posted some follow-up observations about phoenix_test performance. #ElixirLang TL;DR: Yes, it can be slower (because it is doing more helpful work), but `async: true` should be your first target if you're having trouble with test wall-clock time -- always. forum.elixirforum.com/t/one-pipe-o...

💜 A favor to ask: I'm looking to land Elixir consulting work. To help get in front of new faces, I have a "one problem, two weeks, $6,000" offer. Aimed at one nagging thing: a flaky test suite, a stalled upgrade. The debt that falls on the floor. A share or an intro would mean a lot. 🙏 #ElixirLang

✏️ CI goes red on a test you never touched, so you click re-run and hope. Nobody on the team can say how often that happens or what it costs. Your GitHub Actions history already knows. I wrote a prompt that reads it, names the confirmed flakes, and puts a dollar figure on the re-runs. #ElixirLang

💸 So I use the $100 / month Claude Code subscription and just analyzed my last month of usage (pretty light load and mostly Opus 4.8 / Opus 5.0), and the metered cost would have been $2,350. The extremely subsidized, non-profitable-for-anyone cost. Crazy shit.

✏️ Phoenix's built-in LiveView test helpers require you to hand-build the form payload and start a fresh pipe after every click. phoenix_test writes the entire flow as a single pipe from the user's point of view and fails with a focused error instead of the entire page's HTML. #ElixirLang
