A cast iron drain pipe going down the side of a white-painted house. A crest of red feathers and a bright orange beak made from something solid have been attached around it. It looks remarkably like "Feathers McGraw", the evil criminal penguin from The Wrong Trousers.

Stanage Edge, Peak District, Derbyshire. Not a bad way to end the day.
Wide view of Stanage Edge, in the Derbyshire Peak District, at dusk. Dark moorland and gritstone outcrops are silhouetted on the right, overlooking hazy layers of hills and valleys. The sky is filled with soft blue, pink and peach colours from the fading sunset.

Red deer hiding level: expert. 👀 Two stags in this view southwest of Sheffield. Can you spot both of them?
Wide view of rolling countryside southwest of Sheffield in warm evening light. Dry grassland, bracken and scattered shrubs fill the foreground, with fields and distant hills beyond. Two red deer stags are partially hidden in the grass. One stag's head and antlers are visible near the centre-left of the image, while only the antlers of a second stag can be seen further right.

Islamist extremist violence boosts far‑right support, including groups like AfD. Both use similar opaque methods to communicate and move funds. With these shared techniques and hidden channels, isn’t it valid to ask whether some of this activity could ultimately stem from the same concealed backers?

To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars. Even if those cars are electric. And then there’s all the parking. OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money, emissions, pollution, noise etc. Choices. Simple.
Graphic showing a 9 m wide track for metros can move as many people as a 175 m wide, 7 lane road for cars.
