i love to express my creativity with code. why would i want to give that up? 🤷‍♀️ i resonate with this video: youtu.be/pzkwn3hu1Cc 💯 using AI feels like having someone else play a video game for you so you can get the achievements. but what's the point of playing video games? what are we doing? 😭

LLMs are just good enough at programming to be a problem. and they are more than bad enough at programming to be an even greater problem

Lol, my friend @noiseissues.bsky.social made this same prediction: gamesbymason.com/blog/2026/mi... I'm somewhat convinced it will happen, especially but not mentioned in the blog: Microsoft's core business is now cloud services, Microsoft's customers are corps. So why not reduce development costs?

🪟 Prediction: Microsoft Is Going To Do The Funniest Thing Imaginable

When you think Microsoft you probably don't think sense of humor. And yet, I'm convinced that Microsoft is going to do a very specific *very* funny thing within our lifetimes.

Wow, Audacity 4 is looking good! Breaks the stereotype of open source. 🎧 I'm hopeful for a new era of open source becoming pro: Blender, OBS, my new fav Kdenlive. I like GIMP and Inkscape, but not sure these are there yet. Any other examples of open source gone pro?

As someone who grew up on 4chan as a despondent highly-online teen, who was inspired to "do it for the lulz", who rejected empathy as making you weak, I'm grateful in my childhood that 4chan wasn't active in meme-ifying politics. Had I grown up on the internet 10 years later, who would I be? 🐸

@rustforgeconf.com was AWESOME! 🙌 So lucky to be part of a lovely #rustlang conference, here in my home of #wellington, #newzealand. Met lots of interesting people, learned some new Rust, enjoyed sharing my own creative passions. 🦀🥝 Thanks @timclicks.dev for organizing. 💜

Single #SSB message to QR code for #sneakernet purposes

A screenshot of a terminal window with a dark background. At the top, a command is shown: jack@winesap ~/Software/stammtisch/stammtisch *(feature/sync)*% target/debug/ssb-qr list.

The output of the command is a table with five rows and the following columns: Seq, ID, Type, Timestamp, and Content.

The rows list various message types, such as git-ssb/repository, chess_invite, and hokuu.photo, with timestamps from July 20, 2025. The ID column contains long alphanumeric hashes, and the Content column contains JSON data snippets.

Below the table, a summary line reads, "Showing 5 of 5 total messages," followed by a new, empty command prompt.

A screenshot of a terminal window on a dark background. A large, blocky QR code is displayed in the upper portion of the window using white text characters. Below the QR code is a command prompt which reads: jack@winesap ~/Software/stammtisch/stammtisch *(feature/sync)*% target/debug/ssb-qr pick --seq 2 --encode --terminal.

wanna be silly with doof duck and friends? @cyberdoof.com rave in a virtual McD's this Sunday 3-5pm NZT / Saturday 7-9pm PDT. www.cyberdoof.com/duck

A pixel-art event flyer titled “Cyberdoof Presents: doof duck and friends Episode 2 — We’re Doofin’ It.” Three cartoon characters stand behind a fast-food counter labeled with their DJ names and social handles: “DJ BBGun @bugknife” on the left, “Blegg @??????????” in the center, and “Intersekt @intersekt” on the right. They wear uniforms and hold items like a burger and a drink. In the background, a gray kitchen with an oven is shown against a red backdrop. Text at the bottom shows the event date, time, and URL: “7 PM PDT Saturday 22nd // 3 PM NZT Sunday 23rd March 2025 @ cyberdoof.com/duck.”
