Chicagoans get so hung up on whether you’re south side, north side, or if you grew up or still live in the suburbs. Never forget that Da Coach, –who personified Chicago style—was born in Pennsylvania. Chicago is more about attitude than logistics. #Ditka

I don’t want to get all political but Jimmy is unfairly maligned as the villain of THAT THING YOU DO! (1996): he was an artist and didn’t simply want to ride on the success of one big hit, he wanted to progress and write more songs. He and Faye were not meant to be together.

For the record, it was indeed a smear campaign.

A simple apology would go a long way but you can’t do that because it would require you to admit that you did something wrong.

I’m not making too little money to qualify for unemployment, but I don’t have enough hours to qualify for SNAP or Medicare or pay rent. I’m at the end of my tether. If you can, I still need help. gofund.me/34e22d57e

By 1997, BOOGIE NIGHTS was arguably the first time Burt Reynolds actually acted in twenty years or so rather than just doing that lazy, smug Reynolds schtick…and he’s so good in it you almost forget he was in PATERNITY (1981). He deserved that Oscar.

As far as the big three slasher franchises go, “(Dont Fear) The Reaper” belongs to HALLOWEEN (1978).

The only great HALLOWEEN movie is the 1978 original. The FRIDAY THE 13TH series ebbs and flows (FINAL CHAPTER is the most quntessential). All the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET films are good to great with the 1984 picture being one of the most original horror pictures of all time.

SUPERGIRL (2026) would be even better with a low budget because its at its best when it plays like a DTV STAR WARS rip off. What can I say: I relate to someone who lets their love of drink get in the way of their destiny and friends SHOULD help you get revenge. 3 stars.

Due to incessantly listening to the ROCKY HORROR 15TH anniversary box set, I arguably have heard Tim Curry’s rednition of “Baby Love” more that The Supremes’. Music is subjective: I enjoy his soulful rendition more than the recoding that was a ‘60s hit. open.spotify.com/track/5vMwqw...

I had a realization over the weekend that I got so hung up on the revenge part that I was ignoring the rebuilding part, which includes relationships that fell by the wayside. I’m working on that.
