Thousands of government sites run on USWDS. It's what makes them 508 compliant, trustworthy and easy to update. We're scrambling to make backups in case of catastrophe, but this will be a hugely time-consuming and costly mistake if they intend to rip it out and replace it with vibe coded trash.

How much do you think Ryan Fazio practices saying "I'm Ryan Fazio"?

Just a dozen cars sitting here idling in record heat with the AC pumping while we wait for our Dunkin' disposable drinks, but sure, we got nothing to do with it.

I guess you could call Pressure a "thriller," just so long as you don't know what date D-Day was. I want to know: Was there nobody in the room who said "just say the attack is scheduled for Monday and leave the date out"? I would've been that (adament) someone.

Sometimes, I get the urge to just randomly message the local breakfast spot. "Two words: breakfast tacos." Why must we be plagued with terrible "breakfast wraps"? Sigh.

absolutely love this about listening to @wfmu.bsky.social - beyond the weirdos and whatever awesome shit they play, there's the 90s looking website that's actually quite useful and fun. the only things automatically updating are the chat and the playlist, and neither is by algorithm.

Screenshot of a very 1990s web page for the current wfmu radio show - text in tables listing out the current playlist, a chat room, and a central piece of art.

New concrete pylons with chains between them at entrances to farnam drive through East Rock Park. No room for bikes, wheelchairs, walkers or anyone. Womp womp.

i really loved playing 'the last of us' and i just realized something abou that: i don't necessarily want an open world in my off time. i loved the story line, the upending of expectations, and that i didn't have much, if any, choice in where things were going. it kept the pace - and my interest.

Tried to get to the riverwalk in Hartford yesterday only to find that the only ramp down to the trail was chained off for no reason, while all the stairs were open. Why??? There's literally no other way to access the trail from downtown that I could find, with I95 cutting it off completely.

the ampitheater next to the river with lots of stairs and no good way to get down to the river with a bike or wheelchair.

The ramp down to the riverwalk has a locked chain across it.

I don't even know how to use social media anymore. Used to feel so natural to share random thoughts. I came to talk about my phone woes...but we're watching all the parts of the government that protect people be dismantled.

Not that it's a surprise, but Musk/Trump have now fired folks who worked on *securing elections*, including combatting foreign interference (they falsely claim this team was censoring conservatives, which is a lie). www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

After seeing Elon's nazi solute the other day, I decided I'd truly had enough of X and resolved to delete my account, as I'd copied everything over to my Bluesky. I pushed forward, clicking and trying not to second guess... ...and deftly deleted by Bluesky by accident. So here I am again! 🤣
