Why are you limiting yourself to Americans? All my life, I have been aware of suffering around the world--a great deal of it but not all of it caused by people of white European herritage. I built my million dollar brewery and dedicated it to uniting the world. If you can do better, go for it.

I still use Facebook to advertise my business, but I don't use it much personally anymore. It asked me regularly if I wanted to see less of this content (right wing bs) and kept flooding my feed with it. So here I am. Unfortunately I still depend on it to interact with friends in other countries.

If an individual should not kill people than neither should a government. But even if we do allow execution, nobody should enjoy it. Anyone who wants images of death seered into their brain is sick. I don't even have a term for someone who wants that for others.

Stop being silly. There are questions that can be asked that reveal sensitive information to enemies of the United States simply by not answering. Lying is necessary. I don't like lying, but there are cases where it causes the least harm and is therefore the most moral choice.

That's not deportation. Taking someone against their will to a country where they were never citizens is kidnapping and human trafficking. To call it deportation suggests that action has legitimacy. It does not.

The rule is the constitution. We need to follow it. No rules demand compromise. All criminals from both parties need to be held accountable. True justice is systematic, dispassionate, and efficient. Plan to get it done in a month. It will actually take six months. That is fine.

AI does some great things. It can hunt down answers to strange questions in seconds. Unfortunately that is a small fraction of what it does. It also floods all media with low-grade art and deepfakes. It writes bad articles and criples young minds that need never expand to solve harder problems.

Unfortunately this is the lesson our country needed. Thomas Jefferson said that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. We have taken our freedom for granted my entire life as we have gradually traded it for supposed security. We have ignored our rights, and now they are going away.

What we need to normalize is educating boys to behave before we destroy their lives, but if they can't be taught, then so be it. Destroy them. Prevention of rape is actually much better for women and girls.

As political anxiety rises, I see many angry and negative posts across what I read in BlueSky. I get it, but remember that our best future comes from hope. Yes, we need a boatload of dispassionate law enforcement, but we also need to build, not just destroy. Educate, don't hate.

It might be a double edged sword, but the filibuster generally stalls everything. Preventing change favors conservatives. We need a lot of change, so I think it is worth the risk.

Merrick Garland was a reasonable AG pick. I think he thought he had all the time in the world to get his job done correctly. There was no way 47 could win that election. He was wrong. His was the greatest error in judgement I have ever seen in my life. I actually feel sad for him.
