Every so often I will go back and pick up one of my own books from my own shelf to just reread and see if I still like... You all slept on Orcs In Space....legitimately this book still cracks me up. I'm so proud of a lot of these jokes. And Abed, Rashad and Francois we're such amazing partners.

Great in theory...with a few stellar issues but a lot of clunkers as well-- mostly when the comedy bits were too prevalent. Weirdly, benefitted from the crossovers more than any of the other x books.

Like IN universe she's supposed to be tough and competent and people see her that way, but as an audience member we see her as bad. Its kind of like if on a show someone is supposed to be a great singer...but in reality they arent that good, we have to accept that "OK in this world they are good."

I never got into Voyager because after 4 or 5 episodes it seemed clear that the dynamic tension set up in the pilot--Federation/Marquis forced to work together--was never going to come up in a real way. So I rely on Steve Shives reviews and yeah....she's pretty awful but I think in a meta way.
