I met Robert Duvall once in Middleburgh, a couple of days after my daughter was married there. We had a delightful conversation in which I told him how much I admired his career and his first question to me was, "What part of Massachusetts are you from?" RIP Robert Duvall. You were one of a kind.

Mike vs. The Leaves 2025, Round Three. Ever-vigilant Buck joined me as I got back to raking our leaves. Today’s haul included 21 piles filling 13 bags, brining our total thus far to 32 bags. Early leaf drop has most trees bare, the exception being our Magnolia, which has yet to lose any leaves.
