On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour Survivors, remember the children who never came home, and reflect on lasting harms. I’m proud of our @CityofVancouver Reconciliation work with Musqueam, Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and urban Indigenous communities. More work lies ahead.

Politics can be personal. Sometimes painfully so. I’ve watched Ken face it without losing his humour, his humanity or his determination to serve the city he grew up in. Whatever your politics, this is worth watching.

I joined Mayor Ken Sim to discuss why we’re asking Vancouverites to have their say on open-air hard drug use. A YES vote sends a clear message: we need better tools to address it and safer shared public spaces for everyone. On October 17, I’m voting YES. #VoteYes #Vote4ABC

Back on the doorsteps! 🏡 In Renfrew Heights, we heard about public safety. In Fraserview, affordability and community amenities were top of mind. Thanks to everyone who welcomed our ABC Vancouver team. We’re listening and working to keep Vancouver safe, affordable and moving forward.

See Mayor Ken Sim’s letter to Premier David Eby. Vancouver can’t solve this crisis alone. Mental health care and involuntary treatment are provincial responsibilities. It’s time to move past defending the status quo and demand action that gets people care and makes our streets safer. #vanpoli
