And following on from that, how about some BloomScrolling? #NessGardens #Wirral #BloomScrolling

A close up shot of a daylily, in strong sunlight. It is mostly yellow and orange.

Another daylily shot, this one is much darker and redder. Only the very centre is yellow.

Another daylily, this one even darker still - a very dark brownish purple.

I'm trying to get back into the habit of taking photographs. I don't particularly like taking photos with the phone, so that means carrying the big camera around. In which spirit, some contributions to TextureTuesday. These are from a recent visit to Ness […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

A view into thick blades of long grass, strongly back-lit so that the sun shines through the leaves and they cast shadows on each other.

A view into the dried heads of many alium plants - probably last year's flower heads.

A close up of tree bark, in sun, with strong shadows.

A view into the prickles of a monkey puzzle tree, with its interesting spiral forms.

New #DevinTownsend Loot! Yes, I know #TheMoth came out last week, but we pre-ordered so we get it a few days later for some reason.. We are in the audience photo, but very hard to pick out... Including a Ziltoid called Ziltoid, a #Plushtodon called Gerald […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

An art book on a chair, surrounded by three plush toys. One is Ziltoid, a character from early Devin albums. He's a bug-eyed alien, and is wearing a flying V guitar. Another is a blue Plushtodon - the Mastodon mascot. and there is a small pink plush axolotl. In front is a separate cover from the art book which is signed. The cover is close-up photo of Devin Townsend in grey.

The artbook is opened showing photos from the performance last year in Groningen. The photo in the lower right is of the audience, and we're in it. Ziltoid, Gerald and Lexin look on.

A photo of the t-shirt that came with the art book, along with the same three plushies.

Some #DarkSouls stuff... I did a soul-level 1 run back in 2016, but summoned Solaire for a couple of the fights. So, had a go in Dark Souls Remastered, doing all fights solo. Got there in the end, even though I don't normally do challenge runs. I'm not that […] [Original post on mastodon.social]

A screenshot of the game Dark Souls. My character is in the final boss room of the game, showing the Soul of Gwyn - the final boss - in my inventory. The character details on the right show my character as still being level 1.
