It’s club spin, “tying Bruno down to a new contract was just as if not more important than getting a new mf”

010

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Spot on mate, will admit I was one of the gullible ones.

100

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

I think it would be even worse this summer given all the changes at the top clubs and the opportunity to kick on

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Been positive they had a plan all summer but it’s waning. Can genuinely see along the lines of a ‘no value in the market’ position being peddled

220

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Wouldn’t blame Bruno for asking to leave. Wasted his prime years with the club, played out of his skin last year to help get them back in CL and the club show a lack of ambition once again.

040

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

Assume he’s signing a new contract then as he’s in his last year

020

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Exactly, think that players would want to put their hands up for next week. Absolute shite

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

We were very narrow today, Shaw was poor obviously but thought the goals were more of a team problem.

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Could really do with pace in this team

010

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Loftus Cheek has run rings around us today

011

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Played through us too easily 2nd half

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

That’s just the grease seeping through your skin

100

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Amorimball, decent possession, not much creativity and concede with silly mistakes

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Forgot we aren’t meant to comment if it isn’t positive 👍

100

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Wake up call hopefully. Really poor

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Is Amorim back in our dugout?

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

These are the type of performances I hope Carrick and reduce, no possession, no control, no threat

031

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Cunha isn’t a CF, hope the club get another in

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Hate it when we play passive like this, just giving the opponent the ball

010

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Bought for £45m, is poor and yet they sell for £60m?

010

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Not sure what you’re seeing mate, think they’ve been decent

120

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Mbeumo looks lighter which will help his speed

020

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Yeah can be a sensitive area. Not running him down he’s just a young lad and needs to be in an environment where you can make those mistakes and learn without the whole of Twitter getting on his back

010

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

100% but it should learned on loan at a club where you’re not scrutinised as much

100

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Everyone seems to be braver on the ball, even Yoro who is usually risk averse is passing through the lines

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Dalot first start, first shot from 30+ yards 🫣

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

More American owners coming into the PL, worse this time as it’s Bezos. Won’t be long before the league will be relegation free and full of adverts, just like the NFL

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

Its a 1st team signing apparently, similar to Heaven

100

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

Of course, just a bit of frustration all around at the moment. We’ll see in a few weeks, hope they’re not doing the usual Glazer thing of not spending once we’re in the champions league and selling another manager down the river

020

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

Why wait until its impossible to sign him, Newcastle were never going to sell after already selling Gordon, Tonali and Bruno was on the way out.

220

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

There’s no chance they’re still debating, obviously a bland line to give to the journos. Not saying they’ll do anything big, or anything at all but they will have decided. Sure they’re just waiting untill the end of the window to make that big splash for the Amazon doc 😜

100

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

Nice to see it happening to a club that is not Utd

010

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Ornstein pretty much reporting this now.

100

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Utd open to a loan for him apparently, being discussed between the clubs

001

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Utd accepting a loan from Juve for Zirkzee, what a surprise!

110

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

Who could have foreseen that!

110

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

While Utd are still debating whether to go for a LB or CM apparently 🤔

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Think online fan base will change if they see Bruno go to Arsenal (possibly Vini Jr), Bouaddi to City, Barcola to Liverpool and Utd do nothing

110

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

enough to compete on all fronts?

100

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

It’s shocking it’s even a possibility, we’ve spent around £40m net. Everyone seems to talk about Hall like he’s a game changer, I’m not as convinced. It would be crazy to go into the season without another mf, even IF Mount would stay fit. Are we saying Mainoo, Tielemens, Santos and Mount are good

110

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

More talk of Mount being the 3rd midfielder on TOTD pod today, hope it’s not true.

000

mikegwalch @mikegwalch.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

We’re still very reliant on Bruno to create
