It's World Rhino Day today. Here's a White one in the Umfolosi Reserve in South Africa, which I saw in 1980, and was haven for them and Black Rhinos during the horrific years of poaching. Second pic of Whites in Kruger NP in 2013 #Rhinos Still threatened. Stunning animals

Bearded Tits at RSPB Ham Wall, Somerset. Great to see a few flocks fly past the Avalon Hide this morn. Also there 3 Glossy Ibis, GW & L Egrets, Snipe (3+), a Pectoral Sandpiper, 2 Green Sands and a few Marsh Harriers & Kingfisher flypasts. Osprey flew S past hide with prey c9am. Sadly a mink too

Pilning & New Passage before HT this morn. Great views of 2 Kestrels and 2 Green Woodpeckers. Camouflage on the latter is brill. As is with plenty of Turnstones (35+) along the shoreline with a few Ringed Plovers. Curlews & Oycs roosting further back. Great place despite the wind + 4pbr & 20+pir
