Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I’m going the opposite route. Oops, all headbands. 110
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Paying full price is a steal for the value you get, so getting any discount is Danny Ocean-esque 071

Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I mean, if we *have* to have injuries, a minor hamstring injury for our 3rd (4th?) center would be the one I would choose 111
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Yeah, I just looked it up and would never have guessed. I didn’t have a feeling going into the season, but during and after the World Cup, I think it has been such a major error not having the sprint season this season, and having a new year start after the World Cup. Now it’s all disjointed 040
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I listened to todays episode 6 hours ago, and when Tony said you were going to be on tomorrows episode I immediately thought of this post, which you just posted now 030

Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 25/09/2026It is my* favorite show of all time *I do not expect people to have similar tastes as me, and am often surprised when anyone likes something I love 010
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Even his 2015-16 season was right there. I can only assume that if he played another 30 games in 2014-15 then it would have come back to normal 030
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 24/09/2026That’s a tough one. I know that I would pick Pistons second, but not sure about 3rd. I think I would lean Heat 010
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 24/09/2026They should also play that way now because they don’t have great wingers or fullbacks already so just play two of them instead of 4 020
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 24/09/2026Four straight goals outside the box for the Sounders. Not sure how repeatable it is, but once again, I am in no position to not take what’s been given to us 110
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 24/09/2026This RSL team is so bad that I’m almost mad the Sounders don’t have another goal yet, but honestly by this point I will take any win regardless of quality 110
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 24/09/2026This is the problem with stats people. You have to have the eye test to tell you that is not the case 010
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Well to be fair, as arguably the biggest Andrew Nembhard fan on here, I kind of get it. But there is nothing to indicate that this is a move the Pacers should or would do, and I think you did a good job on describing that 031
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Your absolute disgust* at RNembhard made me chuckle throughout *not really disgust, it’s more just confusion why it’s such a big deal but lol Also, the James Johnson as coach thing people want is weird imo. Has nobody worked with a work friend who became management and it changed the relationship? 110
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I saw “Nembhard traded” and almost had a heart attack 150
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 21/09/2026It takes the worst parts of so many things as jams it into the sports conversation. There are people I talk to regularly that I can’t talk about sports with anymore. “I don’t care that this person scored 19 points when his over/under was 19.5, why are we talking about this” 1140
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 21/09/2026The Furphy part of this episode just reminded me that, when discussing everything that has gone wrong for the Pacers since Game 6, the major bummer of the Furphy injury doesn’t come up enough 040
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Almost pulled it off. I guess I’ll take a fun game 010
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 20/09/2026We are passing two more offseasons if we don’t win today 111
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I guess the difference is just how big you think the contract is, it’s not like it’s in the JJJ or Lauri range. It’s in line with the VanVleet contract (with cap increase taken in) and that seems like a good comp (in the quality of player, not the type) 010
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Where else would I get a list of Seattle neighborhoods *and* former Sonics players? 052
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 16/09/2026As a fan of a opposing team, definitely a guy who you watched and would say “wow, how is this guy not a best XI player” and then look at his stat line and be a little underwhelmed 040
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I’ve said it before, but this is the best video that I’ve seen about the 2025 Pacers, and one of the reasons why is that they include stuff like that Obi game winner, which is necessary in remembering that team m.youtube.com/watch?v=Tuzy...m.youtube.comThe Most Improbable Playoff Run In NBA HistoryYouTube video by DoubleDworth 040
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Exactly. I feel like that was the game that made me go “oh, the Pacers are going to make the playoffs” whereas the Boston game made me go “oh this team can be legitimate” 120
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I think you are correct that it was the 2023 In Season Tournament that started the era. My initial thought was that Boston game, which I think is the correct answer because that is when everything changed for the team, but for me it was actually the Philly game in that group 130
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I think it’s been the fans taking out frustration on the ref. I thought he’s been fairly good 110
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Morris getting in behind a few times is super encouraging. 020
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 13/09/2026But one more injury to remind us of the bad times 020
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I think all the calls have been close, but I think the refs have gotten the 3 major calls all correct so far (no foul on Cristian in the box, Rothrock with the foul on the the pk, Morris was offside) 011
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Sounders actually creating chances is weird to see. I just forgot what it looked like 120
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I’m not sold on Huff either. I’m hoping it’s just Toppin’s spot (which probably requires Furphy getting healthy or Walker taking a step up defensively so that one of them can play backup 4) 220
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I think his defense did not recover at all, his rebound rate continued to drop, but he does continue to shoot the ball well. For next season, and maybe only next season, I would rather have Zubac than Turner plus whoever the 5th pick ended up being. 210
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I definitely think letting Myles walk turned out ok. I think Zubac could be better fit than Turner. If last year’s level for Turner turns out to be his new level, then it looks better in hindsight. But I still think the process was bad, they might have just gotten lucky. 130
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I would be also fascinated in looking into how holding onto the old era too long turned from a bad idea after the PG trade into a good idea with the 2018 team being more ready to perform than they would have been if they did more of a full rebuild 011
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 08/09/2026These continue to be great. I’m glad you had more focus on that very good 2012 team. My only gripe is with how you described the 2011 playoff series against Chicago. Every game was close, really showed that the team was on the right trajectory. 110
Michael B 8 @mikebeight.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Grant Hill was awesome. The first non-Pacers jersey I wanted and got when I was a kid 020
