Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 25/01/2026Did they actually just say that VAR cleared that foul on Rogers?! 001 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 28/09/2025Yeah the attitude thing was the worry and probably still is. Think his link-up play with Maatsen has potential to unlock another dimension for us when playing some of the weaker teams where space is at a premium. 010 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 28/09/2025Yeah, glad we got both Elliott and Sancho on the other hand though. For me those 2 are key to consistently beating teams who play a low block, especially with Tielemans back as the 8. 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 28/09/2025Can see why Emery likes him. Pace, strength, work rate, keeps width and works back well. His runs in behind from out wide also offer something we don't otherwise have. Technical ability the biggest question mark, but he offers stability on that side which we didn't have last year. 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 18/07/2025Seen much of Bisseck? Stats-wise he looks the business. 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 18/07/2025Yeah can't take much from that game. There's gotta be a starter-level defender coming in though right, even with Mosquera and Ozcan here now? 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 18/07/2025Tasty. Sticking around the first team this year you reckon? 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 30/06/2025I'll need to read Mistborn before those come around, however I've just started the Malazan series so might take a little while to get to them! 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 30/06/2025Fantastic wasn't it. Loved all the flashback scenes. Also Lift with Zahel, can't wait to read how that goes. 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 25/02/2025Yeah bench options are wild, and we're not even close to full strength in other areas either. Quite the squad at the moment. 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 25/02/2025Not usually a fan of McGinn on the right but now that we've got Garcia's quality overlapping it could create better opportunities on that side. Like Bogarde starting too, adds some mettle in the middle which we've missed with Boubs and Onana out. Let's do it #UTV 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 24/02/2025Read Satantango last year, so good. Will have to get round to this soon 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 02/02/2025...can do something special in the second half of the season to either win us a cup or make it back into the UCL. An RCB would be nice too. 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 02/02/2025...in terms of quality and end product. Haven't seen any mention of loan fees yet, so assuming it's just the wages we're covering of the two loanees 'til the end of the season (for now) then it's a somewhat low risk financially for potentially high gains. A kind of roll of the dice to see if we... 100 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 02/02/2025Was absolutely not convinced by either Rashford or Asensio if they were permanent signings and the fees needed for both, however looking at it from the point of view that we've gone from Duran, Buendia and Philogene to Malen and the two above, we've clearly made a big upgrade in the short term... 100 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 30/01/2025It is a bit strange that the Asensio links are getting so much traction. Hopefully just a smokescreen for someone else. Would like us to get a bit creative now and see where we can find value in terms of age, readiness and potential. Difficult in Jan but full trust in the brass to get it done. 020 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Yeah completely missed McGinn off my count. We've definitely targeted younger signings recently but most of the pre-Emery lot are getting on now. Mainly why I just don't believe the Asensio links, doesn't fit with how we've gone about our signings lately. 100 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Would be nice if every player viewers us the way we do! The links to Tel are the kind of transfer we need to be looking at. Bags of potential, not much downside in terms of value since he's so young. Looks a player. 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Oh yeh, sure if we go for him then Unai's done his homework. Big risk for me simply because of what it would cost and likely having next to no re-sale value once he's done with us. Always have to take that into account considering our revenue and PSR limits. We've gotta be smarter than most. 210 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Is the squad young? Emi, Cash, Ez, Pau, Mings, Digne, Youri, Bailey, Ollie all 27+. Almost all of them starters. Asensio not for me based on age, wages. Would question hunger at this stage of his career to "drop down" and come to Birmingham to fight for a spot. That's what Unai would demand. 100 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 22/01/2025Talking about Barca, they only need to avoid defeat for us to finish top 8, provided we win. 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 22/01/2025Don't even need a Barca win, just avoid defeat. Worked out just about as well as it could have considering our result. 100 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 21/01/2025Milan probably the unlikeliest, as they have Girona and Dinamo Zagreb, though the second of those likely fighting for a play-off spot which helps. The Atleti last minute winner really cost us. 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 21/01/2025Need Milan not to win both their last 2, Atalanta to not beat Juve, Brest to lose in Madrid. As it stands assuming only Bayern go above us, and we leapfrog Atalanta. We need to win too, preferably by a couple at least. 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 15/01/2025Much better. Lovely slight pause from Ollie before the finish, made enough space to pass it round Pickford. Great ball Rogers too. 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 15/01/2025So incredibly wasteful. Recurring theme now throughout the season. Got to be better in those situations if we want to finish in the champions league places, simple as that. #utv 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 15/01/2025Was very high risk when they both played previously, but could be a bit safer with Onana and Kamara like you say. Thought Duran might start tonight, Ollie on Sunday. Interesting to see how Everton approach the game. 010 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 10/01/2025Don't see him staying with us. Think they'll wait to see what's available in terms of our needs and either sell to fund a purchase or else loan back out to a championship club. 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 09/01/2025Yeah keeps her emotions out of it, plays the others off each other well, just loves the game 120 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 07/01/2025Although can't do that for this season now obviously. Not gonna happen is it haha 100 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 07/01/2025Kinda hoping this was the plan all along now. Maybe they just re-colour the anniversary badge and use that from here on out. 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 02/01/2025Does Malen offer that kind of play in terms of stretching a defence and getting in behind are you saying? Haven't seen a lot of him myself. 010 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 02/01/2025Spot on. Interesting that the Malen signing likely won't help this though, doesn't seem to be much of a ball retainer looking at his stats. On the other hand he should help our profligacy in front of goal. 110 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 02/01/2025Could be the way to go until the summer when we may have more funds available to find someone else who offers more control further up. 000 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 02/01/2025bit better (Baena) higher up the pitch considering how turnover-heavy we are, but maybe the management see the lack of cutting edge as the priority. Certainly don't finish as many chances as we should considering the positions we often find ourselves in. 100 0
Mike Kaz @mikeakaz.bsky.social · 02/01/2025Interesting one with the Malen links. Can't say I've seen him play too much but going by the stats websites around he seems to be much more of a play 'finisher' than a creator, possession and carry stats not particularly on the high side. Assumed we'd be after someone who looks after the ball a... 100 0
