I’d be happy with a point, three would be wonderful. Achieve either and I don’t care how we play. Grind out points will be good enough for me.

Sagal Abdi-Wali came to the UK aged 7 having fled the war in Somalia with her family. She has thrived. Leader of Camden council and now the MP for Holborn and St Pancras. A narrative that runs counter to all we are told about refugees. Congratulations www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Labour fends off Green party to win Holborn and St Pancras byelection

Victory by Sagal Abdi-Wali in north London seat will be a relief for Andy Burnham in high-stakes battle for the left of British politics

Hi #BBC I understand the Farage Party came 4th in the Old Holborn & Pancreatic Song Contest last night with even LESS than people who voted Conservative!

It appears the Greens got 35% of the vote last night which is more than Labour got nationally in the 2024 GE. Not sure the vote at their Conference caused as much damage to them as the media and political commentators would have us believe. News of their demise is a touch premature methinks.

May have said that on the tin but there was no mistaking when we went to the Mildenhall air show every year as kids or got too close to the base at Chicksands on the dog walk that they were American bases.

The same one that tries to execute someone, fails, then brings her back to life so they can try again. Basically a medieval state that didn’t exist in medieval times but wants to experience those times.

I’m old enough the remember when they were all called USAF bases, including the radar set-up at Chicksands

Is genocide racism if the victims are of a different race to the perpetrators? If it is, then surely the people carrying out and supporting that genocide in their countries name, are racists

Which surely was the intention of policy makers in pushing homeownership in the first place.

I’m old enough to remember plenty of people saying Thatcher would never become PM after she ousted Heath as Tory Leader. I also remember Blunkett telling us during Blair’s 2nd term to underestimate the Tory Party at our peril.

I get the impression there are gradually more and more media reports coming out of Gaza showing the devastation and inhumanity caused by Israel. They will not recover from this and history will treat western politicians and media who watched and did nothing with contempt.

My view is that Storch won’t react to social media moans but might if match day crowds turn. I personally have always thought management is overrated (in all businesses) and don’t think a change will make any difference. Provided HP has the dressing room I’d stick with him.

200

Mike Andrews @mikea57.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Win lose or draw the next three games, it won’t matter. Vocal fans on social media have already decided he’s not good enough and won’t be swayed. Be interesting to see if Storch is swayed. No doubt if he sticks with HP the same fans will be calling for his head.
