and then if I'm happy with the whole thing I want to animate something. maybe. this will require I figure out fur sim in blender cause I don't know how to do the stylized look I'm thinking of in maya. plus, I've been rendering everything in blender already anyway, lol

currently working on painting the normals & then I want to try painting the roughness maybe? no clue if that's gonna look any good but I'll give it a shot. my hope is that in combination w reusing maps + various blendshapes to change physical features, I can reuse the same rig for diff characters

been working on something really big for my portfolio, firestar rig! rigging was done in maya. spline IK for the spine for more catlike movements, retractable claws, toes with spread and splay, rigged blinks, and the pupil can slit (no blendshape needed)! texturing still a wip though

I'm thinking this Thursday and Friday, the 16th and 17th, I'll try to stream for at least a few hours, starting 2pm PST :) it will be on Twitch! (And maybe YouTube as well if I can figure that out...)

would anyone be interested in 3d modeling streams? I haven't streamed before ever (<- scared) but maybe a few times this month at least with AF still going on perhaps... even if there's just 1 person who's interested I will do it at least once

I agree sm I think it's rly bad for artists to think like this :( I get it tho I just try to think like that one Defunctland quote when I feel bad about my work/art process the one that goes like "I hate making art. the only thing I hate more than making art is not making art" cause. truth nuke
