Bayeux Tapestry tickets go on sale again this morning but the reports of how crap a viewing experience it's been make me think I should just wait until it's back in France and go on holiday instead.

[Health stuff] I had appendicitis last week and tbh the pain from the appendicitis was pretty bearable but now trapped air from the operation has partially collapsed my right lung and that shit is painful.

I have a need to know how many text posts, images, and videos this Mastodon server gets in a month, local and remote (separately). Or, from anyone else who has such data, what that looks like such that I can extrapolate a likely volume of all three stratified by local vs remote per e.g 1,000 […]

Someone in the village has decided this windy sunny Saturday is the perfect time to have a massive bonfire so no one can sit out in their gardens without having a face full of smoke. 🙄

My latest @newscientist.com cartoon. many more here: www.newscientist.com/author/tom-gauld/

Image: A graph with lots of red dots clustered together in a curve. The are all looking upwards at a single red dot wearing sunglasses.

Caption: Mike was an outlier and would probably be excluded from the study, but all the other data points secretly thought he was really cool.

My final hand-in is on Wednesday and I have spent the last five days writing up the report and am slowly losing my mind. I am taking breaks, but this is too much time concentrating on one thing. Over soon! #OU

I'm not even remotely sorry.

A photograph of actor Matt Damon looking into the camera at an official event, wearing a blue jacket, white button shirt, and blue tie with white dots. The photo has been copied to appear twice. The one on the left is unaltered and labelled 'Matt Damon'. The one on the right has been altered to look shiny and reflective, with the caption reading 'Gloss Damon'.

I think I mentioned this when I was watching it but really, Andor is excellent and very timely. It is an excellent piece of television, not just an excellent bit of Star Wars.

I watched Andor a while back and decided to just go straight on into Andor, then a New Hope, and now I've worked my way all the way back round to the prequels. Phantom Menance got so much stick at the time but really it is II and III that are truly terrible. The only saving grace is that Ewan […]
