Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 25/06/2026But Philon is just an excellent player. I think he’s better than you realize. So smart and crafty, and we desperately need another ball handler and shooter. With no one available who would have actually fixed our rebounding problems without causing more, he was the perfect pick. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 25/06/2026I think you’re being too negative on Philon and too positive on everything else that was available. There was no big who is anything more than a crapshoot available. Carr was an option - he’s athletic and shot well at Baylor, but he has no pedigree and did nothing in two years at TN. 120
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Tarris Reed will be a good pro. He’ll rebound like crazy. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 25/05/2026First, Spurs are just a more beloved team. Second, everyone knows Arsenal were gifted the trophy by PGMOL. Even you know it deep down, but won’t admit it. 300
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Need a second goal early to take the pressure off. 030
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Same. There’s so much pressure on the squad today. They need to keep their confidence and aggression when/if something go against us. 020
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 24/05/2026OMG. It gets worse. Graham Le Soux is doing the commentary. He just said he thought Thomas Frank was a good fit for Spurs, but then they went in free fall under Tudor and now De Zerbi is left picking up the pieces. So clueless. Guess Ange was right - Spurs does crazy things to people. 020
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 24/05/2026COYS! Btw, I’m a fan of Rebecca Lowe, but she just said, “Glory is probably not a word you’d associate with Tottenham for any of the last two years.” WTF lady?static.klipy.comTottenham Hotspur Trophy CelebrationALT: Tottenham Hotspur Trophy Celebration 210
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 19/05/2026And there’s clear evidence he was still holding him AFTER the ball was in play. 040
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 19/05/2026The story of last season was the drop off in our play when Romero and VDV didn’t start. The story this year is an unprecedented string of insane decisions against us, with rules applied differently depending on whether it benefits or hurts us. 010
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 19/05/2026Even if he threw him down before the ball was in play, he was still on top of him when it was kicked. Plus: bsky.app/profile/migh... 050
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 19/05/2026So not a foul because the ball wasn’t in play. But Dan burn was given a pen because Bentancur held him before the ball was in play, but let go before the kick and Burn had him in a headlock. The only thing consistent is the rules are always interpreted against spurs. 030
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 19/05/2026One more, with Chelsea on their heels. Come on you spurs. 010
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 12/05/2026Doesn’t matter if he got a toe on it (and there are angles that look like he doesn’t). You can still get the ball and foul (I think Pal and Porro saw yellow on plays where they got the ball yesterday) Regardless if he grazed the ball, Madders still would have had the ball without the foul. 010
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 12/05/2026Totally agree. He’s in mid-kick and the defender throws his head toward the boot. Plus, the contact was fairly minimal on either the shoulder or maybe grazing the side of the head. But Ampadu immediately grabs the top of his head - a different spot - to exaggerate what happened. 120
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 10/05/2026So does that mean you didn’t get to see VAR gift Arsenal the title by disallowing a goal they’ve been letting Arsenal score all season? Good for spurs for West Ham to lose, but wild to suddenly call that after a season of not calling it. 200
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 05/05/2026So much was made of that ESPN article saying our players can’t pass (besides Romero). But they never looked at previous seasons of those same players when Frank wasn’t coaching the life out of them. Would love to see those passing stats under RDZ to see if it’s actually the scheme, not the players 010
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 03/05/2026Finally!!! They really found something after that first game back with embiid. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 03/05/2026When embiid went out, the key was hanging in without him. That +7 stretch to extend the lead from 11 to 18 was everything. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 03/05/2026Takes a perfect storm to send a club like spurs down: world historically bad club leadership, a negative manager who destroys’ players confidence, the worst injury crisis in history, insane call after insane call against you, and relegation opponents all finding top 6 form for months late. 040
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 26/04/2026I had heard about the bad call, before I saw the clip. But seeing it is just… wow. I mean, there’s no way that’s not a handball. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, so I’ll just say it’s not corruption, but just a case of refs and VAR getting caught up in the excitement of Spurs going down. 030
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 22/04/2026It’s Wilhoit’s Law: Conservatives consist of one proposition - there must be in groups who the law protects, but does not bind, alongside out groups who the law binds, but does not protect. 010
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 16/04/2026Would settle for a neutral one. If we had been reffed consistently both ways, we would have between 3-8 more points. (Maybe more because we’d be more confident with results, and with getting the same calls our opponents get) 020
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 16/04/2026Not to mention, he should have already had 2 (and arguably 3g yellows before that shove. Shouldn’t have even been on the pitch. It’s still shocking that Van de Ven saw yellow early in the match for far, far less than what Brobbey did. 010
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 06/03/2026Frank was hired to coach the aggression and winning mentality out of them, but the club made very clear that the expectation was to not to be daring or go for it. 010
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 06/03/2026It wasn’t only Frank coaching it out of them. I also believe that when Vinai, Lange, and Levy decided to sack Ange, they sent the players two clear messages: 1) winning trophies doesn’t matter to their club. 2) the club did not want them to play attacking football, but prioritized “pragmatism” 220
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 25/02/2026Great article. Pretty much exactly how I felt about it. And I’ll add, not only could the RKM wrongly-disallowed goal have changed things, there were also two different times where Gabriel impeded RKM when he would have been in on goal. A correct call on either of those could have changed things. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 24/02/2026Or, has a winning mentality and can project confidence. 020
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 24/02/2026We’ll never know for sure, but I can imagine adding Kudus and Simons to Ange’s attack would have been so strong. And as @profspur.bsky.social has shown with stats, the defense under Ange was good when our CBs played, so better attacking options under Ange might have gone a long way. Sigh. 020
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 10/02/2026I think it’s to defend deep so the opponent can’t get shots inside the box, but then hoof it long and try to win 2nd balls - but hasn’t realized the mf can’t win second balls when they are so far from the front line and we can’t create chances when the holdup man is isolated even if he controls it. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 10/02/2026It doesn’t help when he only starts 3 attacking players and 7 defensive-minded players. In fact, it’s what you get. Contrast to Newcastle, who started the match with basically 5 forward-minded players. We were under pressure as soon as the lineup was made. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 09/02/2026And this particular quote is him basically you shouldn’t expect to compete in both the league and the champions league. Far cry from being hired to compete in all competitions. All he does is lower expectations. 030
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 09/02/2026Remember when he was hired to supposedly compete in all competitions? All Frank does is lower expectations, and this quote is basically saying it’s too much to expect you to compete in the Premier League if you are also playing Champions League. 040
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 07/02/2026I wonder if any team in the PL this season has played 60+ minutes down to 10 men with virtually no xG at all? 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 04/02/2026So we’ve regressed by at least half a point of net xG every time we’ve played a team twice, except Bournemouth for whom we still had a negative net xG both matches. Not a good sign of adapatabillity 000

Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 25/01/2026Maybe turn it into a picture of Ange in the locker room with “Do it for him” 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 25/01/2026That’s terrible. Stay safe and know we all support you (and most of Americans do NOT support this authoritarian cruelty and violence, and many of us are working to change it). 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 20/01/2026I know he said to the social media haters, “I’m closer to LeBron James than you are to me.” Then he destroyed them in pickup games to prove it. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 20/01/2026It amazes me that people still don’t get this. Match comms and pundits will say Frank solidified our defense because the narrative about Ange won’t die. Frank didn’t improve anything. We got our CBs back and our defense is worse with them than it was last year. 🤯 030
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 20/01/2026He dropped him… and then whined about having not enough fit players with three who will have to really push to play 90. He knows Solanke isn’t fit and he did it anyway (probably because he has no idea except limp it long and spam crosses, both of Solanke fits better at ST). 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 20/01/2026He’s either gaslighting us or gaslighting himself. And what makes it worse is that he pretends these are good performances while diminishing the trophy or the fact that we earned a champions league spot last year, and likes to suggest we were worse last year. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 09/01/2026And it will screw up the January window because they know it’s coming so they don’t want to invest because they aren’t sure what’s next. Should’vr been done in November when he started talking us down and diminishing the trophy. It was clear he didn’t get the club and there was no way it could work. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 07/01/2026And that’s when we’re behind and chasing the game. This team shows no energy, no belief, no fight. A reflection of its manager. 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Same for RKM, who I think thrives on making runs behind and receiving the ball at his feet (instead he’s being used an isolated winger with no one to pass to). 000
Mighty Hams @mightyhams.bsky.social · 06/01/2026Exactly. Frank has all but said explicitly that when we have the ball, he STILL worries more defensive positioning in case we lose the ball than being aggressive, putting pressure on the defense, and trying to score. It’s a no-risk midtable mentality. 010
