Last night I dreamt I met a black cat who had a turtle shell. She was so sweet, but she'd been at the shelter for six years because no one wanted to adopt a cat where you'd be petting a hard shell and not soft fur. And I couldn't adopt her because she didn't get along with other cats at all 😭

I'm thin—the easy, mindless, genetic predisposition kind—and the way people wield my body to punish themselves is invasive and hurtful. It's uncomfortable to have to be extra conscious of my own relationship with food because everyone else can't stop talking about theirs while staring at my plate.
