One of the most beautiful books I had never read until now is "Death Comes for the Archbishop" by Willa Cather. Her descriptions of 1800s New Mexico & her respect for all the groups inhabiting that landscape is wonderful. Also cool that my copy is from a used bookstore & literally 100 yrs. old!
