I'm expanding ZZPlay a bit, to make it more useful as a media player for the ZZ9000(AX). It's getting playlist support, a settings window, the usual you'd expect. What else would you want in there? Let me know. This goes out with the next release... #Amiga #opensource #retroComputing

Is it time? YES. It's time. Time to release this beast of an update, at last. There may still be some glitches found there, but that's why we have future versions also. I've polished this enough for now. Time to prepare the documentation (Amigaguide FTW!) and start the process of tagging and […]

Some more improvements for drivers/tools for the ZZ9000: - zz9k-archive: faster performance and MUCH improved behavior for LHA extraction. Especially over network drives. Every format is streaming now, starts extracting right away. - AHI driver: added support for more than 1 mixing channel (up […]

ZZ9000 Custom RTG resolutions are now supported, using the standard method of P96Prefs. It's funny how long it took before I discovered that it wasn't working (never did). #amiga #open-source #retrocomputing

The new audio fabric work for the ZZ9000 is now done. You can have MHI + AHI simultaneously for the first time! I've gone through the RTG driver as well, and managed an average 7.8% perf improvement. Now looking into the USB/Poseidon driver implementation. Hopefully I can make that a bit better […]

DOpus5 just got native ARM64 (aarch64) support for AROS builds. Now that AROS runs on RPI devices natively, I thought I'd expand the support for the projects I maintain to include it. :) The next release will come with a native ARM build for AROS as well.

Now that we have a (somewhat) stable Firmware and set of Drivers for the ZZ9000, it's time to start working on the most interesting part: a native AmigaOS library that accelerates common operations using the second ARM core. These will cover things like image, audio, surfaces (zero-copy!) […]
