The first duty of any Govt is to keep the public safe. @thecccuk.bsky.social could not be clearer. On our current path, by 2050 nine in ten homes could be at risk of overheating and 40°C heatwaves may become common across the UK. That is why we need a dedicated Climate Protection Unit in No. 10.

I am delighted that Eye now has a permanent post office again. For far too long, residents have been left without this vital service. With no bank in the town, having a post office is crucial for businesses and residents.

Average wages in Mid Suffolk are £5,500 lower than the national average. That is why Cllr Andrew Stringer and Mid Suffolk District Council secured £16 million in funding to build a new skills centre, helping the community to gain skills, access better jobs, and earn higher wages.

It was great to be at Morrison’s in Diss, holding an open surgery, where people could come and talk about the issues affecting them. From potholes and the need to improve bus services to restoring our rural health services.
