"The first rule's not to let the pain stop you." < #OC, #MVRP Account> <Both Casual and Serious interactions> <N/SFW material, 18+> <Ships w/Chem> <DMs open for plotting> (🎨-Takesu)

Name: Viru
Gender: Male
Species: Hybrid - Ryujin and Nagarite (Features of Dragon and Shark)
Height: 7'10"
Description: A hybrid creature from Bayanari, a desert city by the only river in his region, and flows around The Sacred Tree: Rupa, that the four guards of the city protect.

Using his unique combination of steam-based abilities and unique skills in music through a special Bansuri flute, he had become the Guardian of The West Gate.

Outside of his duties, he assists his uncle in transports of gems across the land from his shop, as well as playing for the city crowds to ease their nerves with specialized, enchanting tunes.

Due to his biology, it causes his body to be at irregular temperatures that, if not properly maintained, could cause him to be in grave danger. It was his uncle that provided two gems that assist him in controlling both elements.

It is an astounding gift, these soul crystals. Your world is blessed to have them. Still, they seem dangerous if used too much.

A healthy option. The mind can only take so much in before it requires rest.

It was, if only for the enormity of them. The notion of such an immense structures and so many so close together...

There is something strange about these cities of metal and glass. I can understand the appeal--yet they feel alien.

Turning his gaze, he glanced in the direction of the watcher, careful to not make eye contact. Not yet. Instead, just a look and a brief scan to see if said watcher would look away—a very human thing to do. And whatever it was this presence didn’t feel ‘human’. not quite.

The First Magus @midnightvespers.bsky.social · 10/08/2025

He’d heard phrases like ‘Cosmo Canyon’ or ‘Advertising some play’ or ‘how does he keep his whites so white?’ (The last one amused him because the streets were indeed filthy and it was only magic that kept his robes clean). No, he was aware of someone with /intent/ watching him. He paused.

One did not go through a war and the frontline without learning to trust their instincts and hone their awareness. And he was aware in that moment that he was being watched. Many eyes had followed him in the streets to this point—he was an oddity, he knew.

“Then don’t. The past is behind us and the future lies ahead. Whether it is good or bad, as I told you once, is entirely up to you.” He glanced at the ground, feigning a look of curiosity, looking for something that wasn’t there. “Strange…But they aren’t here…”

The First Magus @midnightvespers.bsky.social · 10/08/2025

Not in the romantic fashion of novels at least; it was a means to travel from one place to another. “Are there many of you? Merchants, perhaps?”

“Just concerned for a man in the sun.” Seeing now that the fellow was whole enough to stand and stretch, Minwu did relax. He decided to bypass the lecture and moved on to something else. “Your crew—then you are a sailor?” He’d not seen any airships and the idea of sailing had never appealed.

Finding the notion appealing to speak with a creature so friendly, he nodded. “Then I suppose I would ask why you are so far away from the mountains. This doesn’t seem to be your home.” He gestured to the very green hills around them.

Field Notes, Second Cycle There are no tomes here. No temples. Only signs: how the wind catches cloth, how footsteps echo in unfamiliar stone. I treat it like a battlefield. It helps. I would welcome a familiar face. Or even an honest stranger. #WHMWanders

He put a reassuring hand onto the young man's shoulder. "I wouldn't be here had you not intervened. Had we not seen your struggle with the Emperor in Hell, we might yet have fallen under his sway in Heaven." He gave a wry chuckle. "I saved your body at the start--yet you saved my soul in the end."

#WHMWanders I died with purpose. That was the lesson. That sacrifice, freely chosen, could be the final spell. I was proud of that. At peace. And then I woke up—alive again, in a world not my own. I do not know what spell revived me. But I intend to honor it.

"I--did. It is a long story." He didn't linger overmuch and instead explained in brief his travails with Scott, Josef and Ricard in the Jade Passage and their victory over the Emperor of Heaven. "After that I thought that would be the end. Yet..." he gave a helpless gesture. "Here I am."

"For the moment? Yes." Good. If he hadn't heard of Fynn then the kingdom wasn't at risk; for now, at least. "If you are asking if anyone will be coming to get me...that remains to be seen." He was too tired to use magic, too sore to bother with niceties.

The First Magus @midnightvespers.bsky.social · 03/08/2025

The overall bearing of the Koopa king didn't cause Minwu to flinch. "Fynn. I am from the Kingdom of Fynn. And," he gave a particularly smug looking Koopa Troopa a hard look, "I was fleeing a fight when these soldiers captured me." His injuries were obvious.

—Minwu appreciated that he accepted the water the mage offered but was still concerned with @ofdemonicswords.bsky.social ‘s insistence on sleeping in the heat like that. I didn’t have as much time to draw at lunch today but thankfully I’d started this before bed yesterday so it’s all done now!

@kingofawesome.bsky.social Immense army. Fleet of airships. Standing declaration of war against a neighboring kingdom. Kidnapping others and forcing them to labor for him. And Minwu found himself frogs-marched before the Koopa King, captured while recovering. "..how grand.."
