Toradex Luna uses the Synaptics sl1680, which has a unique way of formatting the eMMC for boot. In this blog post, I will show the PhobOS unified flash image for flashing the eMMC on the Toradex Luna. From Yocto 16 .subimg files to just 1 raw disk image: microhobby.com.br/blog/toradex...

AI is doing another annoying thing to software developers besides "AI will take your job." Anything you show, even if it took a lot of work, no matter how difficult it is, there's that idiot who says, "oh, but with Claude that was easy" 🙄

It's Debian, it's secure, it's atomic, it's OSTree, you can still apt-get install without the need for containers and use torizon.io update system. It's PhobOS!

Ever wondered if you can run Windows CE on a Raspberry Pi 5? Probably no 😅. But it was fun and I learned a lot of things trying it. In my last video, I show Windows CE 7 running on Raspberry Pi 5, even blinking LEDs 🤯. Check it out: youtu.be/do2CChP5tK8 Blog post: microhobby.com.br/blog/2025/02...

Finally I had the opportunity to have Windows on arm in my hands. Sneak peak of the first build to Torizon OS Development Env for WSL 2 arm64 🤩. arm all the things, on your development board, on your product and on your development PC.

I have to be fair. After some days using a Mac Mini M4 I have to say I'm impressed. Everything runs smoother than on my Windows 12th generation Asus i7. And the system is beautiful 😍. I'm still having hard time with shortcuts, but with Karabiner I can remap some I was used to from Windows.

I failed to show my coworkers the best of the .NET. And I was influenced to follow with Python. It's bigger, more popular, and new (not new, but young people love it). I would have more acceptance and increased chances of contributions. Bye .NET, it was a good ride 🥲

No no, is out of the standard. The parsers should strict follow the standard. obs: Is just what I'm hearing these days. I'm just curious to hear what Mr PowerShell would argue.

No no, PowerShell is bad and should never exists as this accepts invalid JSON.

The EU should demand that American Big Tech sell their assets to European companies. They can’t be trusted to not manipulate the data for propaganda reasons. Not doing so is a national security risk. Am I doing this right?

If PowerShell was strict about JSON I would be able to reuse the line in Python, what was not the case. But I was expecting something not so strict, as people say that Python is easy. My bad...

And I'm "attacking" the fan base not the community. And I really agree with @pmaris.bsky.social that using something that is not so strict is dangerous. This all thing begin because I'm migrating from PowerShell to Xonsh and I face this issue with my one line 'JSON' config for internal build.

Are you afraid that I will delete the posts? This is my real first and unique life profile, I show my face and I take responsibility for my opinions. My JSON, or whatever it is, is not invalid and I can use it with PowerShell without any problem.

If you are looking for a permissive json library for python, you can try json5. >>> import json5 >>> json5.loads("{ arch: 'arm64', torizon_arch: 'aarch64' }") {'arch': 'arm64', 'torizon_arch': 'aarch64'} but remember you are not doing json!

Is only a matter of strictness. My point, as all from Python ecosystem is new for me, is that Python is not as easy or friendly as people rush it. It sometimes is so stricness that I think I should use C/C++ instead. I'm more productive using C#, PowerShell or JS when I need something "easy".

Cool, very cool. JSON is built-in in Python but YAML is not. And the Python people continue to use YAML in everything that would be better off as JSON. 😏

To me no, it does not. the string is the f"" and when I use the {} inside it, it should have Python code. So, I should be able to use even the double quotes in my code. But no, you need to mix the quotes 🤦‍♂️
