Play what you find fun, don't worry about which game, what meta, just lock your favourite and play, if you have fun you're likely to get better, watch YouTube for tips on your hero and such, find coaching. But for a start, just enjoy yourself

#overwatch #overwatch2 #ow2 I think Sojourn is kind of slept on, the higher rail damage with much faster rail charge and primary fire damage output, she is low-key really good right now.

Probably known to most by now, but you can bhop with hazard for more distance. Having a ton of fun figuring the new hero out in ranked, the most fun tank they have released since queen in my opinion, slightly over tuned, but with a few nerfs we have a super fun high skill tank.

This patch is not just a swing and a miss, its 10 swings and 10 misses, lots of whatever changes, not nerfing the meta driver Juno, swapping power of Mauga into Orisa and then giga buffing a high skill ceiling tank on release - it's a bit of sticky one. The midseason patch hopefully can iron it out

An Overwatch balance patch is an update designed to adjust the power levels of heroes, abilities, and game mechanics to ensure fair and competitive gameplay. Over time, certain heroes or strategies can become overpowered or underpowered, leading to frustration or imbalance. Balance patches address these issues by tweaking damage output, health, cooldowns, ultimate abilities, or playstyles to restore equilibrium.

The need for balance patches arises from the dynamic nature of competitive games. As players discover new strategies or adapt to changes in maps, certain heroes may become disproportionately strong, while others may fall out of favor. Balance patches help correct these imbalances, ensuring that no single hero or strategy dominates the meta for too long. Community feedback also plays a crucial role in identifying heroes or tactics that need adjustment.

Before being released to the live servers, balance patches undergo testing through Blizzard’s quality assurance team and the Public Test Region (PTR), where players can provide feedback. This helps developers refine the changes based on player reactions and gameplay data. Once finalized, the patch is deployed to the live servers, often leading to shifts in the meta, as players adjust their strategies and hero picks.

Balance patches can reinvigorate the game by making previously underperforming heroes more viable or nerfing overused heroes, encouraging players to explore new compositions. However, these patches can elicit mixed reactions—some players may celebrate changes, while others may feel frustrated. Despite this, the goal is to keep the game fresh, fair, and challenging for all players, promoting diversity in strategies and playstyles.

In summary, balance patches are essential for maintaining Overwatch’s competitive integrity and ensuring the game remains engaging, dynamic, and fun for players at all levels.

I know it's very unlikely to happen, but I really wish the hero balance team would stop power creeping ball with more and more stats, his issue is and always has been CC, just make him immune when adaptive shield is up. That way you can also nerf some of his very inflated numbers in his kit.

Wanted to share some of my predictions on tomorrows patch. 1. Juno nerf, probably missiles or ult cost 2. Widow nerf of some sort 3. Hazard release buffs Hopefully we don't over compensate with buffs for a Juno driven meta, that is all I hope for.
