My kids really enjoyed giving gifts this year with zero prompting at all. They got thoughtful gifts too. Outgrowing that ego stage, it made them so happy to hand their gifts over. My 10yo had me bring her to the bank coin machine to trade change jar in for dollars to buy presents.
