On this Labor Day, let us remember that it wasn’t the CEOs and billionaires who saved us during COVID-19. It was the janitors, nurses, cleaning crews, grocery and food workers with their hard, often invisible labor.

Finally getting around to playing Cyberpunk 2077. I got it last Black Friday, but have been playing Age of Empires Mobile with most of my free time. Really enjoying it. Wish I would have bought the DLC too.

Episode 6 of Daredevil Born Again Season 2 is finally paying off with those Jessica Jones shots that were shown weeks ago. Hope we get a good finale and not just an extended trailer for Season 3. #daredevil

In my almost 40 years of paying taxes, this is the first year I have to pay, and I’m not making a lot of money. I usually get back $500 every year. It’s gross to know this is probably going to pay for more tomahawk missiles to kill school children in other countries. #murica

Just finished my 6th Reacher book, Echo Burning. Probably the least exciting one so far, as Reacher gets picked up hitch hiking and gets an offer to kill a lady's abusive husband. It does pick up at the end, but it takes a bit. #jackreacher #leechild

Whistle was a decent horror flick but wow did they butcher Dafne Keen’s hair. They chop it all off toward the end. #hairspoiler

Got into a conversation at work about the Batman Arkham games and their game mechanics a few weeks ago. I mentioned I wanted to replay Arkham Origins game, but Xbox killed the 360 store. Just snagged it on Steam, since it's down to 4 bones. #batmanarkhamorigins store.steampowered.com/app/209000/B...

I have surprisingly finished 4 Reacher books now. Just finished Nothing to Lose, which was fun, since it featured a religious group trying to bring on the Apocalypse by starting a war with Iran. Lee Child is apparently predicting the future like the Simpsons now. #reacher #leechild

I’m realizing getting old is just about trying to encourage the younger generation to check out movies (before that probably books or songs) that were amazing in your time. Who thought the original Highlander would be such a tough sale?

Not a big reader, but started reading the Reacher books by Lee Child as I patiently wait for the new season. Started chronologically with The Enemy then The Secret. I'm surprised at how easy they are to read. I enjoy the detective stuff, but the military jargon gets cumbersome.

It's kind of insane that techbros are defending the wasteful water and energy usage of AI to how it takes 20 years to train a human and feed them too. This is why we don't let incels run companies. They're not real people!

tech.yahoo.com

Sam Altman would like remind you that humans use a lot of energy, too

"It also takes a lot of energy to train a human."

Just saw Knight of the Seven Kingdoms finale is Sunday. Only six 30 min episodes per season. I don’t even know what we’re doing here. This feels wrong. #knightofthesevenkingdoms

The 40th anniversary of Zelda is all the excuse you need to submerge yourself in classic Katsuya Terada art.

I just want to live in a country where the leader can’t enrich themselves with our tax dollars, the government does what the people want, and the wealthy have to follow the laws. You know, like a democracy.

Went to the theater for the first time in six years on Monday. We saw Send Help. Not bad. Still traumatized by the ticket and concession prices.

Amidst all the noise, one thing shouldn’t go unmentioned: Someone in the Justice Department published those largely unredacted Epstein files today intentionally. Not all heroes wear capes.

It's insane to me how one or two allegations can ruin a person's entire life, but 3 million Epstein documents drop (and there's still 3 million they won't release) filled with thousands of allegations, and we're all standing around watching billionaires continue on their way, unabated.

Wonder Man is actually pretty good, but there's no special cameos. One of Marvel's strengths was the cameos to get people pumped about upcoming releases. Another missed opportunity.

Behind a gritty performance from quarterback Sam Darnold, the Seattle Seahawks have earned another Super Bowl berth. 🔗: tinyurl.com/58xzk8jh #ChampionshipSunday #NFL #LARvsSEA #NFCChampionship #Seahawks

I mostly hope the Seahawks win this one so the sports critics and commentators can go back to writing their Matt Stafford erotic fan fiction in the privacy of their own homes. #seahawks

I enjoyed Starfleet Academy. Although it was a little goofy when Holly Hunter slips into the captains chair like she’s getting ready to read Tiger Beat magazine. Yes, I’m that old.

Can’t wait for the sports commentators to talk about how hurt the 49ers are and not how dominant the Seahawks are all week. This game was crazy. #seahawks

Man, I kind of miss the days when instead of worrying about a president trying to turn my country into a Nazi authoritarian dictatorship, I only had to worry about Saturday morning cartoons tricking me into buying action figures. #saturdaymorningcartoons

Took a break from true crime and rewatched Thundarr the Barbarian on Tubi. It’s crazy how Thundarr never takes fall damage. Also Tubi has a pretty good selection. #tubi
