Lot of devil in the details there.

To be clear, concluding in brief: there is enough
for all. So there should be no more people living
in poverty. And there should be no more
billionaires. Enough should be a human right, a
floor below which no one can fall; also a
ceiling above which no one can rise. Enough is
as good as a feast-or better. Arranging this
situation is left as an exercise for the reader.

The far-right will never be satisfied by electoral politics. Their desires cannot be fulfilled from within a system of representative democracy, because they demand benefits for a tiny slice of the electorate at the expense of the majority. Attempts to yoke […] [Original post on cosocial.ca]

Elpenor remembered for 3000 years as kinda a dumbass.

The youngest one-Elpenor was his name-
not very brave in war, nor very smart, was
lying high up in the home of Circe, apart
* from his companions, seeking coolness since
he was drunk. He heard the noise and bustle,
the movements of his friends, and jumped up
quickly, forgetting to climb down the lofty *
ladder. He fell down crashing headlong from
the roof, and broke his neck, right at the
spine. His spirit went down to Hades.

Doves are also monogamous, territorial and prolific. A mating pair will use the same nest three or four times in a season. Within a week of her fledglings taking off on their own, mom was back on the gazebo nest. A couple of days ago I noticed mom and dad both […] [Original post on cosocial.ca]

This spring, a family of Mourning Doves moved into the shelf! Doves are notoriously lazy nest builders. They chose to forgo the Robin nest we’d left up there in favour of a loose pile of sticks to call their own, but it did the trick. They raised two […] [Original post on cosocial.ca]

This is an easy one: - you saw nothing. - you say nothing - Except maybe “Merry Christmas” to the woman or “hey look over there!” to any staff that might be watching too closely.

An opinion piece from the Toronto Star discussing a situation where a woman was witnessed stealing at a grocery store while with her child, and a question about whether the observer should report it. The date is November 28, 2025.
