While there, MDOS staff shared voter information with Pistons employees and hosted a “practice at the polls” voting simulation for them, in which they were able to vote on Michigan sports players and teams and see firsthand how a tabulator works.

Earlier this week, members of the MDOS team, including Deputy Secretary of State Aghogho Edevbie, visited the Pistons Performance Center, which serves as a ballot receiving board for the Detroit Clerk’s Office.

Happy Voter Preregistration Week, Michigan! By law, our state allows eligible Michiganders who are between the ages of 16 and 17 to preregister to vote: go.mi.gov/iuhfk3307 This means that once they are 18, they will be prepared to cast their ballot immediately.

We have already sent new, corrected cards to everyone who received a misprinted license or ID. People who got a misprinted license don’t have to take any action at this time because they will automatically get a new card in the mail.

The misprinted licenses/IDs have a stock photo and date of birth printed in the lower right-hand corner instead of the cardholder’s information. The misprinted information is generic and is not the information of another resident.
