A 15th Century guide to identifying and hunting witches written by Catholics who used it to justify murdering women. The Salem Witch Trials are tame in comparison. We were assigned 1 chapter in a Womens Studies course. I can't part with it-- it is evidence.

A 27yo student whose HS counselor told her "college is not for you," did not believe me when I told her she won an award for her writing Showcase presentation. "Come on," she said. "Did I really win or did you do this?" I told her that 5 judges chose her project. She burst into tears. #fywriting

Spent the past 2 days talking to FY students at #UToledo's celebration of public writing. I am always impressed by the learning that happens when they transfer a paper into visual form, but the real reward is seeing them present and recognize that they are doing scholarly work.
