Long overdue hair cuts this afternoon. About 4-5" off for me. My 16 yo donated between 13-14" of her hair. ❤️ Also, my stylist asked if my hair color was natural, and when I said yes, she said, "Oh you suck. I don't see any gray." There's a little bit. I thank my daughter for it. ;)

Rough week. However, a friend & I agreed that "setbacks" can actually shift into strengths. I'm grateful my therapist pushes me & makes me more curious about the possibilities. Tonight I walked barefoot and without assistance for the first time since May 24th. Don't make fun of my hobbit legs.

I overworked myself yesterday and today while working in the yard, shoveling rocks, exercising, and just enjoying my freedom while walking a bit. Might be paying for it tonight. But check out the lovely new nightgown I got on clearance! It's lightweight and comfortable. I love it! 🥰

Super awesome Saturday! I felt stiff early this morning, but I feel great now. Walking and DANCING (horribly) around the kitchen while fixing a veggie omelette. Dancing! I'm actually a bit emotional about it all. In fact, I'm gonna let myself cut loose when I go out to give water to the birds. 😭

We have a random cornstalk that is growing next to the rosemary bush we never planted but grew there anyway (both the rosemary and the corn). I'm excited that the birds are being proactive and growing their own food during these trying times. I don't even know how it's getting enough water.

A friend gave me hemp cream to try for the nerve pain and it has a bit of a menthol scent. I'm suddenly young again, hanging out with my grandma who used creams after long shifts as a nurse. I grew up at her home and in the fields helping out with crops. She's been gone 27 yrs. I still miss her. 😢

We have a pigeon who has claimed our patio as her home lately and we love it. She's super sweet and hangs out. Sleeps on a chair. Wanders around the yard. When we don't see her, we worry about her. We know someday she'll likely leave us, but until then she's like our outdoor pet. We love her.
