Two years on and Scout still jump-scares when she is presented with books. Honestly, we have no idea why she's so spooked! So it’s down to me instead to say that my two Robyn Delvey legal thrillers THE SEVEN and THE BAIT are currently a quid each on Amazon UK and $2 on Amazon Aus. shorturl.at/7wWPk

The case of the Putney Pusher was my inspiration for THE BAIT, after it was speculated the suspect might have had diplomatic immunity and therefore couldn't be prosecuted. Quite the plot twist that someone's been arrested nine years on. shorturl.at/KRiuc www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/p...

Great to see THE SEVEN and THE BAIT bombing back up the Kindle chart. Featuring CPS lawyer Eve Wren investigating major (but very different) global headline-churning cases, both are 99p for the month of June. Perfect sun lounger/holiday reading! 😎 shorturl.at/OoexI

Why do authors abandon manuscripts? Often it's because the story's just not landing and the author is too close to see what the issue is and how it can be fixed. So they give up and put it to one side, when potentially they are sitting on the book that could be their breakthrough.

This is great news – a publisher whose business model is to champion the midlist! It's very savvy to recognise that there are a lot of experienced authors with healthy backlists that readers enjoyed who deserve a second chance.

Heartbroken to hear Catherine O'Hara has died. From Beetlejuice and Home Alone to Schitt's Creek, she was the best movie mom there ever was, and an epic scene stealer. What a loss.

Don't like getting political but @teamlabouruk.bsky.social has just lost my vote. They won't win the next election against Reform under Sir Keir Starmer but Andy Burnham would have given the party a fighting chance. Blocking him from standing is pathetic. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Crime authors are known for deploying unusual research methods. For my latest thriller THE BAIT, I took a tape measure along to some of London's most iconic bridges to work out how tall someone would need to be to topple over their balustrades. 1/2

I love Line of Duty and am midway through rewatching every series again (and yes, the Lindsay Denton series 2 still stands up as the best). This news makes me very, very happy. The big question is who gets to guest star… that noise you can hear is the casting agent's phone ringing off the hook…
