But Labour have put in place many taxes on wealth already. Farmers' tax, private schools, CGT, Non doms, Stamp duty to name just a few. I don't welcome welfare cuts but it's incorrect to say they haven't taxed the rich

No it isn't Britain's decision actually. Britain can decide whether to ASK to rejoin, the EU decides. We already have trade deals, and I not asking for a new one, I am saying don't piss off Trump so we have to pay tax on goods. I don't think you fully understand my points at all

I didn't say "losing thousands of British jobs". I absolutely would support the UK rejoining the EU but it's not going to happen anytime soon. Why would the EU want us at this point? They would consider that we will vote Tory again soon and re-Brexit!

um, you haven't answered my question either! I'm not dodging anything - this isn't an essay... The US is a major trading partner for the UK. In 2023, the US represented around 27% of UK service exports and 19.5% of service imports, making it a key player in the UK economy

What you are not considering is how much our economy relies on the US. If we fall out with the US, our economy takes a nose dive even further! "Putting the UK first" means putting our economy first. Then also security.
