My old gallerist posted a photo on Instagram of a long forgotten piece of work. So this is where my head was at in 1986 apparently.

A mixed media sculpture made with stitched together tights of a naked female-like figure trapped inside a wire cage. The work was called “Tweet Tweet”.

A friend ripped out a cupboard and found me stuffed down behind it. Particularly weird cos she didn’t know me or the cupboard in 1989.

Of all the things I’ve discovered while clearing out my parent’s flat, it’s the debris I’ve found while reupholstering an armchair that has me feeling closest to them and my childhood. #TheWombles3p

Sweet wrappers, two combs, a book of knitting patterns, a little bit of upholstery fringe, a plastic elephant, a couple of pieces of scalectrix, a magic coin toy, a little diary from 1974, a pencil and a key.
