Today, I had the honor of leading the veto-override floor debate on HB 862. This bill protects Marylanders from potentially disastrous train derailments and accidents by requiring at least two crew members on freight trains moving through our state. .

I was so proud to celebrate the enlistment ceremony of 250 new members of our Maryland National Guard! It was a moving ceremony and it is an honor for this ARMY MOM to represent our House Veterans Caucus at such an historic event!

Today I hosted constituents from The Woodworkers Guild (The Woodpeckers!) for a tour of the State House Dome, the oldest and largest wooden dome of its kind in the country! It was great to see the incredible display of history and craftsmanship of this skilled trade in our beautiful state capitol.

I have requested a new traffic safety study and re-evaluation of North Charles Street in front of West Towson Elementary School. It was previously determined that speed enforcement systems were not needed there, but traffic is worse and I will keep fighting for your safety!
