Two biggest goofs- Sen Byron Dorgon, an early supporter, tried to convince Obama the banks had to take a haircut in 2008. Rahm & Larry Summers convinced him otherwise. Howard Dean, the best DNC chair EVER. Rahm took credit for his work, & got rid of him. So more money went to useless consultants.

Going through my Mom's stuff, found German currency/bonds a traveling huckster sold my grandfather in 1925. Brochure pointed out Germans were hardworking and clever, currency would be valuable one day. I had visions of a Deutschemark fortune. Alas, these bonds were not. Weimar, WW2, etc.
