Queers who lived thru the AIDS crisis know about living through genocide. Joy was a huge part of the struggle. There is no fight without joy. Joy will lift us up. Do not live in despair; that story is no place to build a home. Build your home in joy.

Thrilled to release the cover of my lyric memoir Soundtrack, about growing up and coming out in the shadow of AIDS. All framed by music albums/songs as mnemonic devices, for "where I was when." Pre-orders are open with @bookhugpress.bsky.social !

So in love with my new poetry book, Soundtrack. Its ideas keep unfolding and teaching me things. Today I reshaped so many poems and feel glorious. Here's a little piece I tucked into a lovely spot.

I'm thrilled to announce that The Floating Man won the Director's Choice award at the Cinema Diverse film festival. I can hardly believe it. My first feature as a DIRECTOR won a PRIZE? Who am I? Yahoo!!
