Ran Mørketid yesterday with a few fellow game designers after a night of fine-tuning its the engine. Exploding dice for damage, and a Maim-tolerance for the enemies was a real hit for a disgustingly bloody viking OSR-game.

Ran Mørketid for three other game designers today. It got pretty bloody. I made dumb paper minis which I ended up not using 😄 I'm a theater of the mind GM, and I avoid using minis at almost all cost, so I'm not sure why I thought I would need them.

After playing Shadowdark, it became clear to me that this system is a perfect fit for my own game, Mørketid—a Viking Age TTRPG inspired by Norwegian black metal, horror, and Norse mythology. We're going all in on this now and hope to have it out sooner rather than later. #dnd #osr #ttrpg

Spillforlaget was founded in 2021 to release Norwegian TTRPG products in Norwegian and English. Our flagship project is Dragepust (Dragon's Blight). Other projects in development include the OSR RPG Mørketid, as well as the card deck Deck of Limbs. Additionally, we produce the podcast Vertshuset.
