Today the first copies of my magazine are making it out into the world. This morning Different Leaf took over the W 12th Street windows at the legendary NYC magazine store, Casa Magazines. Today New York and over the next few weeks it will be available around the world.

A local property tax override passed in the city of Easthampton, MA by a slim margin and the side that lost is...calling into question the integrity of the vote counting.

Voters in Easthampton approved a $6.9 million Proposition 2½ override by a 239-vote margin, preventing deep cuts to city services and schools. In a related story, Easthampton beat reporter Sam Ferland talks with override opponents who are seeking a recount. They claim there were issues with the distribution, handling and processing of mail-in ballots in the election.

"We wanted to use this issue to amplify voices we admire, many of whom are shaping conversations in their communities in ways that feel personal, urgent, and expansive, It's also an opportunity to highlight a city and a region - Chicago and the Midwest - that often get overlooked in national conversations about culture." - NICK CAVE

What's not to love about getting in a next-day clarification?

Hilariously, Harris sent an email to Page Six afterward, clarifying his insult: "It was late, and I had a few too many martinis, so I misspoke when I said, Goebbels... I should've said, Friedrich
Flick."

I've been getting this targeted ad too, but for whatever reason my suggested stickers went in another direction.

An ad to purchase a roll of stickers that are blue with the text FOR RECTAL USE ONLY with a jaunty illustration of the back of some cutoff jean shorts.

Maybe we have a little of this going on. (I have a fondness for Catholic convert v. Born Catholic humor.)

Born Catholics: So, uh, can I eat a burger tonight or is it fish fry time?
