I HIGHLY recommend reading what they’re actually doing, not what the CEO says. They potentially have a massive breakthrough in micro-machine manufacturing but extrapolating that to something as large and complex as a car is fanciful at best www.nytimes.com/2026/10/07/s...

This argument is indicative of just how badly federalism has failed. I despise this court as much as the next liberal, but I also think the constitution and the tenth amendment matter… we need to rebase our understanding of the perview of the federal government

Supporting the death penalty means both believing that the justice system is perfect at identifying the guilty and the various state governments are capable of complex medical procedures carried out by underpaid government employees. It should be bipartisan that both of these are ridiculous

While I don’t know if I’d say one of the worst in history (we haven’t always had HD video to highlight these things) that call was atrocious. This one was also bad. I’d say take our biases out of this and make interference calls reviewable. This needs to stop happening

Michael DuBose @michaeldubose.dev · 28/09/2026
That’s fair. Wasn’t a guarantee. Just very high likelihood. Odds are the worst case there is a 3 and out and then a quick field goal takes it to overtime

I’ll take the opinion of the rules analyst over people arguing on the internet. Not enough for interference

An interception with under two minutes left? That just runs out the clock. They had the lead. Game over

I hate that our politics have become this Machiavellian, but it’s absolutely true. Democrats have become the party of all bark and no bite. That has to change and change fast

fundamental rights. Believe what you will about me or my motives. I hope at the end of this era all that will matter is that you feel safe and accepted and this silly argument with a privileged white guy won’t matter.

Michael DuBose @michaeldubose.dev · 14/09/2026
I assure you that the entire would isn’t against you. Despite what you may believe about me, I do care deeply about your rights and have marched and will continue to fight for the LGBTQ+ community. We may disagree about how to effectively wield political power, but we don’t disagree about

Michael DuBose @michaeldubose.dev · 14/09/2026
And we could just all agree the trans rights are human rights. My argument is simply one that I believe plays to a strategic political advantage, and I recognize that is cold comfort when it feels like the world is against you.

Now we’re going in circles back to what a single politician is saying now vs playing for the long term. Suffice to say I completely understand why you feel the way you do and don’t begrudge you how you decide to exercise your voting rights. I wish we didn’t even have to have this discussion

Michael DuBose @michaeldubose.dev · 13/09/2026
As for politicians’ statements, of course they’re triangulating. They’re trying to target the electorate which is gross and I hate it. I also just realize that hating the game doesn’t mean I get to not play it if I want to fight for outcomes
000
Michael DuBose @michaeldubose.dev · 13/09/2026
Actions of course matter more. I’m simply saying that from a nuts and bolts of politics perspective you need allies saying the right things in order to drag the political action over the finish line. I wish it didn’t work this way, but I also care the most about outcomes for the community

Michael DuBose @michaeldubose.dev · 13/09/2026
We’ll have to agree to disagree here. Do I wish he had found a way to legalize it during his administration? Of course, but if you think being the first president to publicly support the right to same sex marriage is nothing then I don’t think you grasp how big of a deal that was in 2012

Having the party that is aligned with your community in power is always going to elicit better results than letting the party that wants you eliminated in power. That said, voting for someone that actively seems to be at odds with your existence is never going to be easy, so I get it…

Michael DuBose @michaeldubose.dev · 13/09/2026
I understand where you’re coming from, and I sympathize, but this has been tried before and all it teaches pols is that you’re an unreliable voting block. Working for change from within the tent is what works. See Obama’s position on gay marriage when he was first elected vs 8 years later.

You’ve also hit on why the tech sector is broken. Post a job on any job board and you have 500 resumes generated off of your exact job description by the end of the day. Companies still need good engineers and there are a ton of good engineers looking for jobs but they can’t connect anymore

Grew up in St. Louis in the 90s. Moved to LA 2 years before they moved back. Been with them through a lot more bad years then good. I'd say the Fisher years were bad, but it was probably worse living through the career of Isaac Bruce being completely squandered except that one glorious season

One way you could respond: "Are you kidding me? You have an incredibly powerful position as a member of the elite media to inform Americans and set the terms of debate. THIS is what you think is important? Not the war, the economy, the climate crisis, but Hasan Piker? What is wrong with you?"

We will not stand for this Danger Dog erasure. If I’m not tempted beyond my better judgement by the smell of grilled onions and peppers into buying a questionable bacon wrapped hotdog after literally any event around town then why do I even pay to live in LA

I can hear @edzitron.com screaming from here “These systems are not like our PCs, not like our phones,” Huang told CNBC’s Becky Quick. “These are revenue-generating assets now. They’re productive, they’re long-lived, they’re fungible, they’re flexible.” www.cnbc.com/2026/08/11/w...

Wall Street just endorsed Jensen Huang's 'big concept' for AI. What now?
The first three-plus years of the AI build-out have been funded by record amounts of equity and debt issued by leading tech companies. Nvidia has a new idea.

This, and precisely this, is why I worry the U.S. is further down the path than we’d care to admit. Swap the proper noun for a pronoun and I don’t think we’d be able to distinguish which leader you’re referring to (while admittedly the structural barriers still somewhat exist here)

Can we stop calling every machine learning based technology AI. AI has become a term that almost exclusively refers to LLM based technology, which most applications of ML are not. I don’t like the use of this technology either, but it’s completely separate from our current societal debate about LLMs

Yes I realize the current political realities make this extremely unlikely, but I challenge anyone to tell me another way to insulate our anti-corruption push from a deeply corrupted judiciary. America has to decide to fix itself or we’ve lost much more than just our global hegemony

Michael DuBose @michaeldubose.dev · 19/06/2026
If we don’t impeach and remove him, followed by a series of anti-corruption constitutional amendments, the country has utterly failed in the experiment of a constitutional republic. A new constitutional convention to strengthen the republic has to follow removal

As I've been saying, impeachment and removal will ultimately have to happen, and enough Republicans will ultimately be forced to support it. But if Democrats fear talking about it now, they will make the path more difficult, delay the ultimate outcome, and prolong the damage.
David Shuster: GOP operatives say the Trump- Iran deal is so abhorrent that some GOP Senators are talking of the Trump impeachment coming after Dems take Congress in midterms…and the expectation some GOP Senators will support Trump’s conviction/removal. The GOP Senate anger at DJT is intense

One thing I think we can all agree on, though, is that they really are that dumb. The Pratt signs were all over “those” neighborhoods, and they really thought they were starting a movement. Every place had those types, and in LA, we have ALL types

I have now spent the majority of my adult life living in Los Angeles. I love this city deeply despite its many flaws. Those of us that call I home argue about a great many things, but it was never EVER going to be more than ~25% voting for a washed up GOP reality star. This is just silly
