my dream scenario is to be able to write a note for my blog like I do for a social media app. `check out this cool site <raw url>` and my blog turns that into a card and that gets picked up for Bluesky. Bridgy currently doesn't pick up the thumbnail/og image to pass to Bluesky so🤞it can get added.

revisiting a subject I've been meaning to look closer at: Tampa's bike network.

First test print of my digital map using a middle of the road household inkjet printer. Will definitely seek out a professional printer for a larger version on better stock.

Wanted to visualize what the post office calls Tampa vs what is actually within the city. 6 zip codes north-west of city limits are Tampa mailing addresses but completely out of city.

The state's congressional map fills in Tampa Bay and doesn't do a good job of reflecting the coast lines. When you look at it just as land mass, you really see how gerrymandered Tampa is.

Current Florida Congressional map with color coded districts. City of Tampa is split into 3 different districts. South Tampa is included with Southeast Hillsborough County and the remainder of the city is split down the middle stretching far north.

Claude built me a tool to carve districts out of Hillsborough County to start visualizing what a 9 member commission by district (no at large) would look like. very similar to districtr.org (they don't allow to add new districts). Had most of the map tools & data already.

my partner snapped a great photo of the Selenicereus grandiflorus, "Queen of the Night" cactus blooming this week.
