At a very local small nonprofit. LGBTQ nonprofits can use help right now especially, for example. It’s not going to pay, but you’ll meet some good altruistic people, feed your need to make a difference, and give your mind a break for a little bit.

Also careers and industries attract certain personality types. For me, who I work with all day is as important as what I’m doing. Anyway, food for thought there. In the meantime, it sounds like you need some immediate mental first aid. While you figure stuff out, it might be worth volunteering—
