it has started - well the prep work anyways - cant aay im impressed with the quality of paint that came with the kit - will probably need a 3rd coat, with my own paint 1st customisation, turning the arched window frame green to match the little side window and making a new 'frame' for it

I have an issue with the Garden model. It has an arched window, in a non arched space *sigh* I now I ‘have’ to fill in the gaps! which is no simple task -edit existing wall texture paper cut or create a new one -create arched window edging out of ‘something’ -modify existing window edging *sigh*

About a month ago, I started glueing in all the little bits into my Cafe model. About a week after, I realised it didn’t have a cash register *sigh* so I ended up removing a few pieces from the counter Dunno when I’ll get around to making a register, brain has fixated on a vintage one

Started night off with insomnia Allergies kicked in about 1am Caved and got up for anti-histamines around 2am Had a shower to flush eyes, washed hair (such a sensible time wash hair) and read for a while waiting for them to kick in back to bed 3.30am’ish, At least I got some sleep after that

Had run out of my 5,000IU Vit D and while re-ordering decided to check availability of Melatonins - it was available again - YAY - and my melatonins has now arrived safely having cleared customs !!! YAY ! given my quality of sleep over the last few months, timely, my circadin has not been enough :(

Made cake mix cookies - my ADHD has wanted to make these for a while and cookies/biscuits seem to be a ‘safe’ food at the moment They’re not too bad and I see myself maybe experimenting with the recipe a bit more

I had pretty much designated my cafe model as finished back in Jan - for some reason I had great reluctance gluing all the little bits and pieces in place Finally bit the bullet and made a start - given the chaos of this house I doubt I’ll have a proper display space any time soon

After a rather long break - managed to get some work done on the lid of my Jar Model Before and Afters

The top left has the battery seating disk and shows the light coming through the hole. There are 4 magnets recessed into the disk, spaced evenly around the edge.
The top right has the lid disk with the sliding switch in the off position. The surface of the lid disk is covered with decorative paper resembling dark brown leather. The surface of the sliding switch resembles a cross section of a tree stump.
Underneath the top 2 disks are the cardboard cutout to cover the battery seating disk with a recess for the light wires. The cutout is partially under the paper disk that will cover the cardboard cutout. The paper is made of the same leather paper used on the lid disk and has a hole where the light will sit. The lid disk and battery seating disk will be back to back when assembled.

The Top right shows the after view - the disk has been covered with the leather look paper with only the light showing

The middle and bottom left show the underneath before view.
The top left of this half has the battery seating disk showing the battery housing with the wire feeding into the hole to the other side. There is a label underneath the battery housing which details the battery type (Lithium battery, CR927 3V) There are 4 magnets recessed into the disk, spaced evenly around the edge.

In the centre of the void of the spacer disk you can see the hole in the lid disk that allows the battery to come into contact with the magnet in the sliding switch. Underneath these their 2 leather paper covers

So yesterday I processed the last payroll for the FY - and to start the habit early I also processed Super as same day super starts next payroll (we are F/Nly payroll) I check status of Super this morning and MYOB is still saying “Processing Payment” So yeh, my hopes are not up going forward

Lid progression for Jar Model. Decided to make the underneath the same as the top, rather than greenery, so removed the flower bead light shade I had attached. Also, rather than gluing all the disks together, I’ve added recessed magnets! More detail in alt text, but I also ran out of words there
