@miahurst.bsky.social I’m a PhD student at St Andrews, studying how climate change affects the Amundsen Sea, one of Antarctica’s most productive regions. My work focuses on polynyas, open-water areas within sea ice, that form vital habitat for species like phytoplankton, seals, and penguins.
