Which Artemis to read first? David McCloskey’s third installment of CIA agent Artemis Procter in The Seventh Floor or Andy Weir’s moon colony thriller Artemis? Just a rainy day #BookSky decision.

Starting my third David McCloskey book. Moscow X brings back CIA agent Artemis Proctor first introduced in Damascus Station. McCloskey is becoming one of my favorite authors. #Booksky

It is striking how polarizing the reactions are. Reminds me of The Bridges of Madison County which was similarly loved and reviled. Neither are literary wonders. Both are shamelessly preachy and sentimental. Yet I loved them as simple departures from my thriller/crime/spy/sci-fi leanings. #Booksky

Going to my shelf, instead of buying new reads. Blake Crouch’s Dark Matter is a fast paced read. Might have been more impactful had I read it when it first came out in 2016. My first by him, so looking forward to more at some point. Will be curious how this one translates to a TV series. #Booksky

So amazing. Andrew Randell really held his own against powerhouse Allison Janney. Would love to see this live in a Broadway production.

What a fantastic ride! I read Nelson DeMille’s Charm School 40 years ago. The world threat was a hidden Cold War machine. This week, I closed The Tin Men, where secret govt/big tech AI is the peril. Incredible bookends. Thank you, Nelson DeMille, for the unforgettable journeys.

Jigsaw is book #41 in the Alex Delaware series. But solving two cases and 3 murders in less than 250 pages, I kinda feel like Jonathan Kellerman phoned this one in. Didn’t buy into some of the character lines and motivations, or the ultimate ending. Nonetheless, I’ll be back for more. #Booksky
